Business Members - Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer

We welcome those who manufacture component parts for baby carriers to accessories to baby carriers to join us with this voting membership. BCIA Business Members:

  • provide superior baby carriers, components of baby carriers, or services to manufacturers, distributors, retailers and, ultimately, parents;
  • support the mission statement and purpose of the BCIA; 
  • are dedicated to furthering the adoption of babywearing in our culture and to introducing parents to the biological norm of babywearing.

Manufacturers will be asked to provide supporting documentation and explanations of all relevant details, including certifications from overseas and tests performed.

 

We offer our Business Members the following benefits:

  • e-newsletter with important industry news updates and information from BCIA
  • priority referrals to media
  • access to international research on babywearing and baby carriers
  • access to membership directory

Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer - Bronze Level - $100/year
Bronze level manufacturers are highly committed to providing safe, ethically produced products to the general public and to furthering the work of the BCIA.
  • A Bronze level component parts or accessories manufacturer may be a company or individual who:
  • manufactures a minimal selection of babywearing components or accessories;
  • may be just starting in the babywearing industry;
  • has annual sales of up to $10,000.
 Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer - Silver Level - $250/year Silver level manufacturers are highly committed to providing safe, ethically produced products to the general public and to furthering the work of the BCIA.
  • A Silver level manufacturer may be a company or individual who:
  • relies on the baby carrier industry for a substantial part of their income; 
  • has been in business for up to 3 years;
  • has annual sales of up to $50,000.
Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer - Gold Level - $500/year
Gold level manufacturers are highly committed to providing safe, ethically produced products to the general public and to furthering the work of the BCIA.
  • A Gold level manufacturer may be a company or individual who:
  • specializes in components for baby carriers;
  • has been in business for up to 5 years;
  • has annual sales of up to $500,000.
 Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer - Platinum Level - $1,000/year
Platinum level manufacturers are highly committed to providing safe, ethically produced products to the general public and to furthering the work of the BCIA.
  • A Platinum level manufacturer may be a company or individual who:
  • manufactures baby carrier parts or accessories as a primary component, or significant portion, of the business;
  • has been in business for over 7 years;
  • has annual sales in excess of $500,000.
Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer  - Emerald Level - $2500/year
Emerald level businesses are highly committed to providing the general public with safe baby carrier information or companion products and to furthering the work of the BCIA.
  • An Emerald level related business may be a company or individual who:
  • has works exclusively in a baby carrier related field;
  • is well established in a companion industry;
  • has annual sales of $500,000 to $1 million.
 Component Parts or Accessories Manufacturer  - Diamond Level - $5000/year
Diamond level businesses are highly committed to providing the general public with safe baby carrier information or companion products and to furthering the work of the BCIA.
  • A  Diamond level related business may be a company or individual who:
  • relies on the baby carrier industry for their income;
  • is well established in a companion industry;
  • has annual sales of over $1 million.
